It is a known fact that happiness is a state of mind. I say this because what makes one person happy can make someone else unhappy. Some people find happiness easy and others struggle to find happiness. Most importantly I want to make it known that WE ALL DESERVE TO BE HAPPY! I don’t care about your past mistakes, choices or history. You deserve happiness.
A lesser known fact that applies to all aspects of life is that you lose things that you are not capable of handling. As you age, if you don’t move you lose mobility. In finances if you don’t properly manage your money, you lose it. If you don’t work, you don’t eat. This list is endless. I say all that to say this, if you do not activity work and make choices to provide yourself with happiness, chances are you will find none. If you depend on someone else for your happiness, you will not be in control of your own happiness. Only you know what specifically you need to be happy so make sure you are making your happiness a priority daily!
INTERNAL Modification
People are waking up daily to the fact that a healthy diet and lifestyle makes the body perform better and reduces the risk of disease. There is a lot of information and suggestions out there that state they know best how to live healthy. There are new minerals, supplements, vitamins that are being discovered that have never been heard of before. So how do you know what to try, use or discard?
Think about your body and what you personally want to do and feel better and start there. I

will share vitamins and supplements that I’ve seen work over and over again while working in healthcare.
Since it’s the end of the year and multiple holiday season’s, we will cover the importance of B12 in the body of both men and women. B12 is a vitamin that is not produced by the human body and must be consumed through consumption and diet. Sources in foods are meat, dairy and eggs. For someone such as myself who is plant based. Other means must be provided such as supplements. Before there was only pills but now there are liquid and meltable forms of B12 and even B12 sprays that are much easier to absorb and swallow.
B12is important because it provides energy for the body. It is needed to form red blood cells and DNA. It is a nutrient that helps keep your body’s blood and nerve cells healthy and functioning properly.
You are tired with no energy? B12
You were sick and trying to build up strength? B12
You are elderly and have low energy relate to age? B12
You are anemic or recently have a injury or procedure that caused blood loss? B12
EXTERNAL Modification
The importance of getting outside for fresh air is a need that all living creatures have including humans. Fresh air no only cleans the lungs, it is a great mood booster, energy increases and can even improve digestion. It’s been studied that we benefit from 20 minutes outside every day. It’s free and has been proven to improve overall health and wellbeing. Fresh air can help reduce airborne illness and infection such as TB and pneumonia. It helps with mental health by allowing you to feel energized and relaxed. Driving in the car with the windows down, a walk around the neighborhood, taking the kids to the park, eating outside on the patio when eating out and just sitting on the front porch at the end of a long day can all be easy choices that can maximize your life!
PSYCHOLOGICAL/SPIRITUAL Modification

Making space for growth and change. Being a citizen in the American business means that all the minutes in our daily lives are filled with some task, chore or job. There is rarely any time to just sit and be still unless your asleep. With there constantly being something that always needs to be done, where is change and new opportunities going to fit? Ahhh, that means the closet must been cleaned and space must be made available. Can your feet grow if your shoes are too small? Can a plant grow In a pot that is too small? Can a fish grow in a tank with no space? The answer is a big fat NOPE!
How will you grow in life if there is no space? Make room for growth and change. If it is not contributing to your future life and self, don’t do it. If it is not helping you reach your goals, stop wasting your time and effort with it. If it does not contribute to your happiness, you don’t have time. If its what you need to pay the bills or maintain your livelihood, give it the bare minimum and spend your free time/space building your future and your happiness.
MONETARY/FINANCIAL Modification
Gaining control of your finances is one of the most important things you can do. Money is a resource that should be controlled like all the other resources at your disposal. If you do not get control of your money, it will control you and you will be doomed to chasing after it and have just enough all the time. One of the most important ways of thinking about money is that your money should always be used to make you more money. It should not always be used just for spending. If all you do is spend money you will always be working and trading time to make more money to spend. Its not easy if you are not rich to have this mindset but it is a must if you want to stop living to work and pay bills. We were meant to do business and prosper. Start by thinking of ways to allow your money to work for you instead of against you. It can be small and it will grow if you are consistent. I recently opened a checking account that’s connected to an investment advisor that will allow me to deposit $20 monthly and invest it. Some banks have loans that automatically save you money in separate accounts over time. Mostly credit unions. The difference between a rich person and a poor person is the way they view money. Is it a tool to make you more money or are you gonna spend it as fast as you can and make someone else more money?
