The battle that takes place in our minds is a war of epic proportions. We talk ourselves into and out of all types of plans, ideas and choices daily. If you think about the goals, business ideas and suspected outcomes we imagine on the daily, we should all be millionaire inventors and creators. The only thing preventing this from happening is your thoughts of failure and defeat that are not guarantee. Your mind contains your imagination, knowledge and thought process. Focusing on positive or negative decide the outcome and therefore your future. If you prioritize positivity and the fact that all things created and being used today, started in someone’s mind. INTERNAL Modifications

The first chemically refined sugar first appeared in India almost 2500 years ago. It is the process of refining sugar with the use of chemicals. Processed sugar is extracted from sugar cane and sugar beets so that only the sugar remains. This chemically produced sugar is often added to remade foods such as crackers, cookies, soda and dressings.

Processed sugar has been linked to obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, depression,

dementia, liver disease and certain types of cancer. Eating refined and processed sugar in excess can lead to headache, low energy and inflammation. It’s amazing because we have been conditioned to seek out foods containing refined sugar for comfort when they provide the opposite.

Cutting out these sugars will help boost energy levels, decrease inflammation and improve your ability t focus. Due to the fact that you will consume more sources of natural sugar from fruits and extracts.

Tips to help lower your sugar consumption:

Getting rid of table sugar, molasses, honey and syrups.

Eliminate sodas and sugary drinks.

Cut back on dressings and sauces.

Read food labels to pick items with no or low added sugar.

Pick fresh, frozen, dried and canned fruits.

Eat more protein and full fat foods .

Try natural supplements to curb sugar cravings.

Be mindful of what you consume! Also be aware that when you start cutting out sugar, it takes on average 1 week to completely leave the body and notice a difference.

EXTERNAL Modifications

Investing in quality skin care products that match your skin type. As a person with melanin we were also taught wash and moisturize and that was all. It actually isn’t much more complicated then that. Melanated skin is more sensitive then we think. Just because we have more UV protection from the sun’s harmful rays doesn’t mean our skin can withstand a lot. Melanin rich skin is more sensitive to chemicals, more acne prone and has a major hyperpigmentation reaction related to scars, blemishes, age and stress. The days of grandma just using Vaseline are over due to enviromental pollution, global warming, GMO foods with poor eating habits and the increased levels of daily stress.

To maintain the history of having baby clear skin well into advanced age we need to apply a little pressure.

Step 1: Get good quality sleep daily

Step 2: Stay hydrated. Hydration equals hydrated skin.

Step 3: Eat a well balanced diet. Vitamins and minerals in food promote skin health.

Step 4: Cleanse your skin daily with a cleaning agent.

Step 5: Treat all skin issues daily. Apply toner, serums and treatments.

Step 6: Moisturize your skin daily.

Step 7: Use quality products catering to melanin rich skin.

Step 8: BE CONSISTENT!

Your skin is your biggest organ, treat it well.

Setting goals in your professional life that provide increase to your personal life. We should always have something that we trying to attain or achieve professionally. Even if you are your own boss there is always room for improvement.

It is good practice to divide your goals into short term and long term. Short term goals are things you can accomplish in 3-6 months to a year. Long term goals are accomplished in 5 and 10 yrs or however many yr increments you decide to set for yourself. Your short term goals should always contribute to the completion of your long term goals. Meaning your long term goals should be built off of your short term goals.

When setting goals we always think about who we are as a person and what we realistically can accomplish based on current habits and behaviors.

Always write your goals down and read them daily to reinforce your path in your mind.
