A lot of times we let fear put restrictions on us that prevent us from reaching our full potential. What’s ever more unrealized is that majority of the time the things we fear are not our own fears but fears projected from other’s onto us. Someone along the way told you to be afraid because they couldn’t so you shouldn’t either. I’m encouraging you to do it anyway, to try in spite of your fear or what other’s told you to be afraid of. YOU CAN AND YOU SHOULD!

INTERNAL Modification

Changing your eating habits so you can feel better and look better. Have you ever looked at the eating habits of different cultures from around the world? Have you noticed a general body structure and reoccurring illnesses or lack there of related to those eating habits outside of genetics? The term you are what you eat has become the topic of conversation for millions today. A lot of times eating a certain way is so engrained that we ourselves are unaware of exactly how we eat. I want to implore you to take the time and write down in a food journal, all the things you eat for a week or two max. Some times it’s easier to identify something if you see it in writing. One of the first steps in changing something is recognizing what specifically needs to be changed. I’m not saying you have to make a drastic change just slight modifications. Some don’t need to make any changes at all and this is a form of self reflection. We also don’t have to put ourselves in a specific diet box. There are so many different eating lifestyles that you are bound to find something you like that is also better for your health and body.

EXTERNAL Modification

Eliminating the old to make space for the new doesn’t just apply to clutter and habits. It also applies to the caring of your skin. The word exfoliation means to come apart or be shed from the surface in scales or layers. In Nature exfoliation is a form of mechanical weathering where curved plates of rock are stripped from rock below. Exfoliating your skin routinely helps to keep skin silky and soft by buffing away the dead skin cells. Your skin naturally sheds every 30 days depending on the person. Exfoliating unclogs pores, prevents acne, evens out skin tone, boost circulation and lymphatic drainage and helps your skin absorb skin care products more deeply. Professionals suggest exfoliating 3 times a week if your skin can tolerate it.

There are 3 types of exfoliation. Chemical, Mechanical and Physical. When you use a scrub or abrasive product to remove the dead cells, its considered physical.

Chemical exfoliating is the use of acids in a controlled method usually by a professional. It is said to be more precise and a gentle and safe way to break bonds between skin cells and pores.

Mechanical exfoliation is the use of a tool such as a brush or sponge to scrub away dead skin cells.

No judgment in how you remove your dead skin as long as you are putting your fresh skin forward and being a new you frequently.

PSYCHOLOGICAL/SPIRITUAL Modification

No matter what your belief, religion or spiritual label is PEACE is the forefront of all things. One of the first steps in any type of spiritual or psychological growth is mastering stress. Stress is the root of a lot of pain, illness and discontent in every day life. There are many different ways and ideas for mastering stress and I feel like with any type of treatment or solution to a problem, different things work for different people. You have to use trial and error to see which plan works for you. One thing I’ve learned that works for people of all types and In a multitude of situations is deep breathing.

One thing we know medically is that deep breathing provides oxygen to blood and helps slow blood flow and heart rate. They encourage deep breathing in all kinds of situations. Labor and delivery, Anxiety attacks, Pain management, Anger management, Lowering blood pressure, Detoxifying the body, connects you with your inner self and helps correct posture. Deep breathing also ushers in a calm environment that enables meditation.

One thing we can all agree on is when you are stress and worry free, you can breath easy. Take the time to breath deep and easy for your peace!

Career Modification

When last we talked, we discussed the importance of working for yourself because you will pay yourself the best and provide the best benefits. Working to pay bills is realistic but are you doing what you love? The first step in creating your own and working for yourself is realizing what you enjoy doing and what product or service it supplies. Once you have decided what is something you enjoy and are motivated to perform until you retire. Next is coming up with a business idea. It can be something that is already being done or something completely new. Just like no two people are alike, no two businesses are alike and someone out there will prefer your products and services specifically because of the way you provide it. Think of how your product or service can improve an existing one or what is different about your commodity and focus on that. To start out on the right foot, it is important to think about how you can make peoples lives better and easier with your resources . Once you have figured out how you are going to enhance someone’s life through your products and service, you monetize it.

Example: After the birth of my daughter, I suffered from postpartum hair loss and was so unhappy with my appearance. I started mixing natural oils and applying them until I found the perfect smell good blend to regrow my edges. My husband started using it on his hair and beard. I used it on my daughter’s hair. The next thing I know, we all have healthy full hair. Other people noticed this and asked what we were doing and that is how I started making natural products!

I hope you enjoyed my information and encouragement. CONTINUE TO MOVE IN EXCELLENCE AND PURPOSE!
